The introduction of a Region Selection Dropdown on the login screen, allows users to easily navigate and select the region they wish to log in to, making it easier for users across different locations to access their region-specific app.
How it works ?
- When a new user attempts to access the login page, they will be automatically redirected to app.shortlyst.com, the centralized platform for region selection. This redirection occurs because the application does not yet know which region the user wants to access. The user will be prompted to select their preferred region, ensuring they are directed to the correct region for a seamless login experience. The selected region is stored in browser cookies, which helps identifying and redirecting user to region specific login page.
- For existing users, if they have logged in previously, the application will recognize the last region they logged into, thanks to a region-specific cookie stored in the browser. If the region is recognized, the user will be automatically navigated to that region’s login page.
- As we select and change region we update the browser cookie, which helps app to identify and redirect to specific region login page.
Region selection dropdown will provide a more intuitive and user-friendly experience for our global audience.
